People are really having a go at Chris fans in the UK who didn’t go to the signing because apparently this means that they are not real fans of his otherwise they would have gone?

Let me break it down for you.

1. Travel is EXPENSIVE. You may not think it is, but it’s the truth. Some people just can’t afford a train ticket or to drive in a car because petrol is fucking pricey right now.

2. Some people just live too far away for them to reasonably be able to get there.

3. People do have other commitments - the school year isn’t over here in the UK, and people still have exams and other commitments relating to it.  They may already have had plans.

They may be your favourite celebrity, but you can’t just drop everything and go down to London for this one signing on this one day when you’d only get maybe 10 seconds with Chris and that’s after hours and hours of queuing. It just isn’t realistic for a lot of people.

4. It’s time-consuming. Seriously. You have to travel there, wait in line for hours, and then queue again, have your moment, and then leave and then travel all the way back. Most people don’t have that kind of time on their hands.
